West is an impassioned believer that business ownership is the best way to achieve wealth and independence. The satisfaction of getting to know thoroughly the interests, skills, motivations, and goals of the people he works with and helping them realize their hopes and dreams through franchise ownership fuels West’s zeal for his role as a franchise consultant.

West has been an entrepreneur for most of his life. From computer sales to trading stocks, he had a wide range of career experiences, but then the budding entrepreneur in him arose and he became a partner in a web design and development firm. He was responsible for business development, project management, operations and financial management and strategic direction of the firm. His involvement in all facets of the company made him very familiar with the challenges of starting and running a company from scratch without the direction provided by a franchise blueprint.

In his role as the project manager for the Schlotzsky’s franchisee intranet, he coordinated all confidential communications between the franchisor and franchisees. It was during this time that West saw firsthand the value that a successful franchise model provides for franchisees.

Subsequent to his web development company, West started a Farmers Insurance Agency and this experience further cemented his trust in the advantages of the franchise model and the ease of working from an established, tested business blueprint.
