Chris Sciortino

Chris is a seasoned entrepreneur with years of experience starting, running, and selling businesses. He started straight out of college and continues to this day. He has a true passion for business, helping friends and family start, improve, and grow their own businesses. His interest in business development and helping others as a teacher and coach led him to FranChoice.

Chris started his first business shortly after graduating from the University at Albany in NY. It was a chance meeting with a friend of the family that lead him to launch a business with $2,000 and a dream. He grew the NYC based business, merged with a larger distributor, and eventually divested his stake. A month later he launched a specialty food distributorship serving the NYC and Boston markets growing the business to over $15 Million in annual sales and successfully selling it to a competitor. Next, he acquired a struggling specialty foods manufacturer which he and his partners quickly turned around and grew by 4x in 4 years before selling it off to their largest customer.

After years of starting businesses from scratch Chris was introduced to the world of franchising. The benefits of launching a new business with an already proven process & marketing strategy, along with brand recognition, and an experienced management team was a game changer. He decided on a HomeVestors franchise in the Charlotte, NC market and got to work flipping nearly 30 homes in just under 3 years.

During his time with HomeVestors he was asked by a previous vendor/manufacturer to help with special market sales. The offer was too good to turn down, so he launched an independent sales and marketing agency working with Cadbury, Kellogg’s, and Ghirardelli. He grew this agency from a start-up to over $60 million in annual sales representing some of the largest food companies in the US. Collaborating with public companies taught him to navigate the complex systems and relationships of large organizations and to find creative solutions for his customers and clients. He remains an advisor to these companies today.

Although he had exited his previous franchise, the experience left a lasting impression. He was drawn back to searching for franchise opportunities. Looking for a new adventure and excited by the power of the franchising model, he reached out to a good friend and franchise consultant. It was during these conversations that he fell in love with the idea of helping aspiring business owners find a path to success through franchising. Chris genuinely believes in franchising as one of the best avenues for those looking to make a life changing move into business ownership.

Chris lives in Charlotte North Carolina with his beautiful wife Lisa and their two sons. He is an avid skier and lifelong health and fitness junkie. He spends his free time making memories with his family, fly fishing and developing diets and exercise routines for and his friends and family.
