John Balkhi

After receiving his Bachelors Degree in Business Economics, John Balkhi had great success as a Central Nervous System consultant for a prominent pharmaceutical company until he realized corporate America was not the best fit for him. He wanted more in terms of income and autonomy to do what he wanted to do when he wanted to do it.

In 2003, John started an investment company that initially focused on buying and selling homes, a.k.a.“flipping”. Soon after the market dried up with flipping opportunities, John ventured into residential real estate & mortgage with his own boutique brokerage firm. Within a period of 4 years, John experienced monumental success. Shortly before the crash of real estate market, John wanted to diversify his portfolio, looking for less volatile business models, so he ventured off into franchising. John purchased his first franchise license for a leading tax preparation company in 2007. In matter of 9 years, John went from 1 to 20 locations earning him the top achievement awards from 2007 to 2015. This placed him in the top 1% of the company. Simultaneously, John continued to diversify his portfolio by becoming a managing partner in another, new franchise concept in Orange County where he is now amongst the top 1% of multi-unit franchise operators.

Most recently, John sought out and become a franchise operator in a third model as a multi-unit franchisee and Master Franchisee, developing Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties.
John loves franchising, as it offers individuals an opportunity to become an entrepreneur but without all the headache of being a founder. John is an executor of proven system and processes, which is one of the biggest reasons why so many people venture into franchising. “Franchising is not for everyone, but if you are looking for a business in a box, have the focus and determination to succeed, and can execute effectively, it’s a great opportunity to achieve greater autonomy and financial freedom!”

John currently lives in San Juan Capistrano with his wife Erica and his three children Sophia, Adam, Nico along with two Golden Doodles, Bella and Sammie. The family loves to travel frequently, volunteer their time to non-profits, and entertain guests at their home!
