John Harvester has 40 plus years of experience in the business world and during that time has faced many changes and challenges. He owned his own business and managed several others, and with each step along the way, he gained more knowledge on how to react, adjust and succeed.
He led teams in operations, administrative management, purchasing and sales management, giving him expertise in many different areas of business. Owning his own insurance agency for the last 9 years only strengthened his knowledge of what it takes to be a successful business person and entrepreneur.
John was born and raised in Arkansas. He graduated from Harding University with a degree in Business Management. He spent many years in Illinois and Indiana, and recently moved back to Arkansas, residing in Bentonville with his wife Julie. He and Julie have four daughters, one son, and four grandchildren.
It has always been important to John to give back to the community. As a Little League ball player, he was not very good but always felt like it was a good learning experience. As an adult, John was responsible along with the help of others, for developing a sports complex for children so they can enjoy the same pleasures he did as a kid. Currently there are seven fields where the whole family can go and enjoy the experience of watching the children play ball.
John’s passion has always been helping others. His goal is to mentor others in the business world and also to help them with the personal challenges of everyday life that we all face. He has always been a good listener and willing to help in any way that he could whether in business or with personal growth. He has been involved with Rotary, Kiwanis, Optimist Club, and Exchange Club. He was a CASA advocate as well as a member of Toastmasters and NAPAA. He’s been a board member with a number of these organizations. He also served on the City Council in Salem, IL while he lived there.
When not in the office he and Julie like to be involved in church work, spending time with the grandkids, playing a round of golf, and traveling. John is excited to meet you and do what he can to help you with your business purchasing decision.
