Chip Fudge

For over a decade, Chip Fudge has matched new and veteran franchise owners with America’s best and fastest growing franchise systems.  His diverse background as franchise business owner, non-franchise business owner, as senior manager in both privately held and publicly traded companies, and as coach/consultant to numerous CEO’s and corporations, makes him ideally suited to his role as a FranChoice Consultant.  His goal of helping people experience the enormous rewards of business ownership is the cornerstone he uses as he guides people through a proven process that matches their goals, skills and experience with franchises that are the perfect fit for them.

After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chip began his career with Shell Oil Company.  Chip advanced rapidly and in only five short years was placed in charge of several of Shell’s deepest and most advanced drilling projects working with a $440 million annual budget. Expanding his horizons, Chip embarked on a ten year sales and sales management career with HealthCare Source, a distributor of medical and dialysis equipment and supplies.  He oversaw their expansion into the durable medical equipment market and opened their first branch operation. During his distinguished career, Chip participated in the public offering of their dialysis division (now Renal Care Group), served on several industry boards and committees, and received numerous industry awards and honors.

Desiring to own his own business, Chip then purchased a Sandler Systems Franchise. He provided sales and management training and coaching to his clients, CEO’s and top management. Chip’s clients included national franchises, independently owned businesses, and several Fortune 100 corporations including Prudential Securities, Wheat First Securities, and Hewlett Packard. Again, Chip distinguished himself by winning national recognition for his work. As an extension of this success, Charles & Colvard, Inc., a former client recruited Chip to become Vice-President of Sales. There Chip had responsibility for worldwide sales with representatives in over 40 countries.  Building on these successes, Chip also co-founded a consumer products manufacturing and distribution business.

Today, Chip uses his extensive knowledge and experience to advise candidates on franchise opportunities nationwide. He resides in Oxford, NC with his wife Betty. We get to know our candidates and take them through a very thorough consultation process.  Our consultants gain an in-depth understanding of the candidate’s goals for business ownership, their desired role in the business and all kinds of details relating to the characteristics the business must have to meet their needs.
