Steve Kahnau founded Smoothie King in 1989 by using his nursing expertise and the drink mixing experience he gained as a soda jerk in high school to create products that combined fresh fruits, vitamins and other supplements. Each Smoothie King store sells smoothies and a variety of vitamins, minerals, low fat snacks and nutritional supplements. Our smoothie franchises please guests with delicious blends of real fruits, pure juices and nutritional supplements available in over 50 flavors, 40 of which contain less than 1g of fat. Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, there are currently 580 Smoothie King franchise locations operating. As a Smoothie King franchise owner, you are allowed to use Smoothie King's name, trademark, proprietary information, exclusive operating system, training procedures, volume buying power, and all other aspects of the franchise system. You will receive full training that covers the important aspects of operating a Smoothie King smoothie franchise and includes operational, marketing, nutritional and guest service classes as well as hands-on training behind the bar and on the sales floor. The Smoothie King Marketing Department provides you with marketing training, a user-friendly marketing manual, promotions and merchandising assistance. You will receive on-going operational and marketing support, in-store evaluations, and business training classes. As a Smoothie King franchisee you will have instant access to years of experience and proven business methods.
