Tana’s diverse business experience in corporate America includes companies specializing in defense intelligence contracting, mortgage lending, recruiting, and believe it or not, construction equipment rental! It was in the midst of her business analysis career in this last industry for a company called NationsRent based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where she was first introduced to franchising. She later joined Tutor Time Childcare Learning Centers based then in Boca Raton, FL with franchises nationwide, where she helped franchisee candidates learn and navigate the franchise buying process. It was with her move to The Cleaning Authority based in Columbia, MD where she took on more of a franchise development role. Tana worked with franchisee candidates by discussing their goals for business ownership, educated them on the concept and industry, provided market research, assisted in determining territory, and ultimately, helped them reach their dream of owning a franchise. Tana was instrumental in helping The Cleaning Authority grow from 55 to 150 franchises nationwide in just two years! Today as an independent consultant with FranChoice, Tana helps prospective franchisees evaluate opportunities that will help them “Realize Their Dreams.” Tana, a Virginia Tech graduate, her husband, a Notre Dame graduate (Hokie/Irish household!), and their family reside in Virginia Beach, VA where they also own a prominent construction business specializing in commercial tile/marble installations throughout the mid-Atlantic US. Tana and her family enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle including travel, boating, and fitness—Tana’s favorites being water sports—SCUBA, water skiing and…surfing! Tana is active in the International Franchise Association, and is also a volunteer in her community.
