Matt’s lengthy experience includes being a part of the national development of the Certa ProPainters system and working closely with other growing international brands such as Stained Glass Overlay, Paul Davis Systems, Nutri-Lawn, and California Closets.
Prior to developing Certa Pro, Matt trained and coached business operators in performance management and multiple operations efficiency skills. As a young executive, he was known for his unrelenting commitment to franchisee and customer satisfaction, driving record results in turnaround environments in Northern New England and in Boston for an international service franchise, for which he was twice named Quality GM of the Year.
As a young franchise operator, Matt achieved Rookie Franchisee of the Year before his 21st birthday, then quickly tripled unit revenue. Matt grew up in the small New Hampshire town of Alstead, and later attended The Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut before exploring both Florida Southern College and Wake Forest University, achieving three business degrees.
Now in his 7th year as a FranChoice consultant, Matt uses his extensive education, his experience as an entrepreneur and motivator, and his two decades in franchising to help people realize their value as business operators through a candid, informed evaluation. Living in central Ohio with his family and their many adopted pets, Matt was recently named by Business First magazine among Columbus’ Forty Under 40, and has enjoyed promoting entrepreneurship as a guest speaker on local television and radio, and in multiple and various print venues.
