The foundation of Mrs. Fudge's career can be summed up in two words: helping people. Her diverse background in medicine, management, sales, and franchise ownership allows her to be very effective in doing what is most rewarding to her-helping people. For Betty, helping people realize their dreams of business ownership is the most rewarding part of being a FranChoice consultant.
Mrs. Fudge holds a Bachelor of Science degree from NC State University and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Her people skills were developed while working at Duke University Medical Center in both adult and pediatric critical care and as a patient educator for Extracare Medical (a pediatric respiratory homecare company). In 1990 she joined Healthcare Source and became their Director of Clinical services. While there she expanded their scope of services to include home ventilator programs for both adults and pediatrics, developed training policies and programs for employees, and implemented a comprehensive quality assurance program.
In the mid 90's she purchased a Sandler Systems Franchise with her husband. She provided sales and management training and coaching to individuals and corporations. The customers included independent small business owners, franchise owners, as well as fortune 100 companies. Her goal was to improve overall business performance, increase sales, and help people reach their personal goals.
Today, Mrs. Fudge is an independent consultant with FranChoice, helping prospective franchisees evaluate opportunities that will help them realize their dreams.
